Preparing for Opening Day

Opening Day is right around the corner! Saturday June 5th, 2021 is when our 15th Anniversary officially kicks off. We won’t have our typical opening day ceremonies due to COVID restrictions but we will be doing what we’re here to do and that is “PLAY BALL”! Check the schedule to see what time your child’s team is playing and please arrive at the ballpark no more than 15 minutes before their game is set to start.

We’ve had a lot of unusual activity while trying to find buddies for our players this year so if you’ve registered to be a buddy and haven’t heard from anyone please be patient. We do need you, we just haven’t had a chance to catch up with all the changes yet. Someone will reach out to you soon.

New, sub and existing Buddies, we seem to have a lot of assigned player buddies who can’t make opening day. If you can fill in for a player during the day please come to the ballpark and let one of us know you’re they’re to sub. Unfortunately, it’s going to be difficult to narrow down exactly which players will need a sub and which won’t for each game because of how busy we’ve been trying to finalize everything. We’re doing our best but there’s still a lot to do so making yourself available would be an enormous help.

I know you’ve all been patiently waiting to hear what our mask policy for the 2021 season is going to be and it’s now been decided by our Board of Directors. Please read the following:

Mask policy
The followIng policy was developed with consideration of the needs of the players foremost in mind.

 Fully vaccinated volunteers (buddies, concession, announcers, coaches, umpires) will not be
required to wear face masks. They may choose to do so.
 Parents and other fans watching the games in the stands will not be required to wear face masks
regardless of vaccination status. They may choose to do so.
 Any volunteer or parent acting as the “buddy” for a player who is not fully vaccinated will be
required to wear a face mask.
 Any coaching personnel who are not fully vaccinated will be required to wear a face mask.
 For any players not fully vaccinated we would encourage that they wear a face mask but it will
not be required.

This year’s Spirit wear will be sold VIA an online store this year. The link for this store will be emailed to our families and posted sometime next week. It will be open for orders when you receive it and will end on Sunday June 6th, 2021. Orders will be managed through our friends at Team Apparel this year and they have offered to make themselves available for people who’d like to try on different sizes. More information about this will be shared soon.

Parents if you haven’t already done so, please pick up your child’s Jerseys. Jersey pick up should be your number one priority right now to ensure your child is prepared for opening day. We will not be handing out Jerseys at the ballpark on opening day so if your child doesn’t have their Jersey league rules apply.

Coaches have gone above and beyond to get Jerseys out to their teams and anyone who hasn’t picked them up will have to make arrangements to do so in the next few days. Leftover Jerseys will be available for pick up at the ballpark on Wednesday June 2nd from 4:00 to 6:30 PM.

As always watch for weather updates and dress appropriately. Concession will be open with limited items available. If you have any questions please reach out to your child’s coach.

Thank you all, we look forward to seeing everyone back out on the field on Saturday June 5th! It’s time to PLAY BALL!

The Miracle League of Green Bay will end it's 2021 season with a game against the Green Bay Booyah's! Miracle league players who want to participate should be at the Booyah stadium by 11:30 AM at the latest! For everyone else, have a wonderful offseason! We hope to see you all back again next season!
